In 2024, USPS instituted a new membership software system. Members now need to sign in to the new “portal” to renew online, to update their member profile, and to access other membership information.
There are at least two methods to access the new member “portal” –
- Go to the old USPS website (usps.org), click “Login,” and select “Membership Portal” from the drop-down menu. The old website is still accessible by selecting “Member Website.” There is still much useful information at this website, but not all of the links remain active.
- Go directly to the new portal at portal.americasboatingclub.org and click “Sign In”
If you have never logged in to the “Membership Portal,” you’ll have to create a new password (unlike the “Member Website,” the portal does not use your USPS Certificate Number and PIN).
For most members, the username for the portal is your email address known to USPS HQ. To create your new password for the portal, click “Forgot password?” and then enter your username. Check “I’m not a robot,” and click “Submit.” You will be emailed a link that you can use to create a password. If you do not receive this email and it is not in your junk or spam folder, ask for help by emailing portal.admin@hq.usps.org. After clicking the link in the email, follow the directions to create a new password. Now go back to the portal home page (portal.americasboatingclub.org) and sign in with your username and new password.
After you successfully sign into the portal, click your username (or the arrow to its right) and select “My account.” You should review your profile to make sure that the information is correct. To pay your dues, click the large blue “Renew Now” button. If there is no “Renew Now” button, email portal.admin@hq.usps.org and ask for help.
Clicking “Renew Now” takes you to a typical online payment process. If you want to pay by mail, you can see the amount here. The mailing address for USPS is PO Box 30423, Raleigh, NC 27622-0423. When you mail your check, include your Certificate Number and the dues period covered.
